β οΈ Official USCIS RFE Requirement
Do not order an immigration DNA test until you have received an official Request for Evidence (RFE) letter from USCIS, a U.S. Embassy, or a Passport Agency. Testing is voluntary, but must be initiated only after the agency officially recommends it.
What is an Immigration DNA Test?
Immigration DNA testing is a government-mandated method used to prove a biological relationship between a petitioner (typically a U.S. citizen or permanent resident) and a beneficiary (the family member seeking entry) when standard documentation is missing, insufficient, or questioned.
According to the U.S. Department of State Guidelines, DNA testing must report a 99.5% or greater degree of certainty to be accepted by Consular officers. We test for:
Paternity Testing (Father and Child)
Maternity Testing (Mother and Child)
Full-Siblingship or Half-Siblingship
Why You Must Use an AABB Accredited Lab
The U.S. government will not accept at-home DNA test kits under any circumstances. You cannot collect the samples yourself.
All parts of the immigration testing process must be managed through an officially recognized laboratory listed on the AABB Accredited Facilities Roster. Our clinic partners exclusively with Universal Forensics and DDC, ensuring your chain-of-custody documents are perfectly executed and immune to fraud rejection.
How The Embassy Process Works
π
1. We Build Your Case
You bring your RFE letter to our Miami clinic. We collect the U.S. Petitioner's DNA sample via a painless cheek swab and log the official paperwork.
βοΈ
2. Embassy Kit Shipping
The laboratory ships a specialized collection kit via secure courier directly to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your relative's home country.
ποΈ
3. Final Results Sent
A panel physician overseas collects the relative's DNA. The lab processes the match and sends the results directly back to the requesting immigration agency.
Immigration Testing FAQs
How much does an immigration DNA test cost?
Our AABB-accredited domestic immigration DNA testing starts at $359. If the beneficiary is overseas, international DHL embassy shipping fees will apply. Use the portal at the top of this page to calculate your exact case cost.
How long do USCIS DNA test results take?
Once all samples from both the U.S. and the international embassy are received at our laboratory, official results are processed and dispatched within 3 to 5 business days.
Can I use an at-home DNA kit for immigration?
No. USCIS and the U.S. Embassy strictly reject at-home kits. All samples must be collected by an unbiased professional following strict AABB chain-of-custody protocols.
Do you send the results directly to the Embassy?
Yes. As part of our AABB-accredited service, the laboratory sends the verified results and chain-of-custody documents directly to the requesting immigration agency, USCIS office, or U.S. Embassy.
